Finikia Village Santorini is a traditional village once inhabited by farmers.

A well-preserved traditional village

In Finikia village Santorini lived the farmers who worked in the vineyards, but also the captains of Oia had their summer homes and canavas. In the early 20th century there were over 150 canavas that were left off after the war and the devastating earthquake of 1956. Since the mid 1970’s slowly and with patience, new residents began to return and to reconstruct the old houses on permanent or holiday homes. Today, Finikia is a small, well-preserved traditional village now united with Oia with just 20 minutes walking distance. You can stay and experience the feeling of tranquility and authenticity, visiting the beautiful beaches and vineyards in the vicinity of the village.
